'Humpty Dumpty' at the Voice Workshop!

I am sure no-one had any inkling as to the delights in store for us at Olwyn Jack's voice workshop, held in the magnificent Duntrune House on Wednesday, 21 May.  Olwyn runs 'Words in Action' where she teaches adults the importance of voice in the business world (www.wordsinaction.co.uk).

Thankfully, there is no pictorial evidence of our contorted faces as we endeavoured to exercise our tongues and faces during the warm-up!  Through fun, practical exercises, we gained an insight into how voice is produced, the importance of elements such as pitch, pace and intonation, and how to use our voices to good effect.  By the end of the evening some of us were reciting Humpty Dumpty in the mode of a town crier!
