What we do
We meet once every month, either over lunch time or during the evening. The major event in our calendar is the Annual Awards Dinner.
At our events, we endeavour to bring our members content relevant to them, from Member's Showcase slots to guest speakers as well as fun networking with a twist!
We encourage our members to promote their organisations through the support network of the group, and look to forge relationships with like-minded organisations to bring additional benefits to our members.
Women Ahead is actively involved in raising money for charity. Part of the events fee goes to the fundraising as well as raffles at the events themselves. Of course the Annual Awards Dinner is the main source of fundraising. Every year the Chairperson chooses a charity close to her heart.
In 2010-2011, Women Ahead supported Breast Cancer Care.
In 2011-2012, Women Ahead is supporting The Fairy Box . More information about this little-known charity will follow soon.
